The Savannah College of Art and Design will host Holiday Happenings Saturday, Dec. 15, for the SCAD and Savannah communities. All events are free and open to the public.

Revel in the spirit of the season at the SCAD Museum of Art. Join Santa Claus and his elves from 1-3 p.m., for cookies, hot chocolate and holiday tunes. The public also is invited to explore the expanded museum with free admission between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Enjoy a free screening at 3 p.m. of the new holiday film “Arthur Christmas” in 3-D at Trustees Theater, 216 E. Broughton St., followed by the campy classic “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” at 7 p.m. Doors open one hour before show time of each screening, and complimentary popcorn and refreshments will be served.
